The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud announced that three virtual training sessions will be held this month covering new special investigative unit rules that take effect Oct. 1 in California.
The California Department of Insurance in August adopted new rules requiring that SIU workers receive five hours of anti-fraud training each year. The rules also make a handful of changes to the information that carriers must include when submitting fraud referrals.
