The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health cited a frozen food manufacturer and its staffing firm a combined $584,000 for violations that included exposing hundreds of workers to COVID-19.
Overhill Farms Inc. and Jobsource North America did not take steps to install barriers or implement procedures to ensure workers were at least 6 feet apart, the agency commonly referred to as Cal/OSHA said in a statement. The companies also allegedly failed to investigate at least 20 instances in which employees tested positive for COVID-19, including one fatality.
