A federal judge in San Francisco gave final approval to a $27 million settlement between Lyft Inc. and a group of the ride-share company's California drivers on Thursday, Reuters reported.
U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria granted preliminary approval to the settlement in June.
The lawsuit had revolved around the question of whether drivers were appropriately classified as independent contractors. Lyft employees argued that they should be classified as employees.
