PTSD Claims Among First Responders Get a Closer Look

California first responders filed 133 claims for post-traumatic stress disorder from 2012 through 2016, according to a new analysis from the Department of Industrial Relations. Ninety-two percent of first responders who filed PTSD claims also had claims for other injuries, which most frequently were sprains, strains or tears.
