A Yonkers, New York, woman has pleaded guilty to collecting nearly $6,500 in out-of-work benefits for a work injury while moonlighting as a bartender, the New York State Inspector General announced this week.
Diane Lares, 38, pleaded guilty to larceny in Yonkers City Court on Monday. She told the New York State Workers' Compensation Board in March 2015 that she had not worked since falling down the stairs at the clothing retailer where she worked in November 2014.
