Hospital Says COVID Closure Caused It to Miss Deadline in Fee Dispute

The Florida Division of Workers' Compensation has shot down a medical fee dispute resolution request from a West Palm Beach hospital, despite arguments from hospital officials that they didn't see a notice while staffers were working at home during the pandemic. The division posted notice this week that it denied a request from Good Samaritan Medical Center to grant leniency on a petition because the response from the hospital was a few days late.
