The Florida Division of Workers' Compensation has shot down a medical fee dispute resolution request from a West Palm Beach hospital, despite arguments from hospital officials that they didn't see a notice while staffers were working at home during the pandemic.
The division posted notice this week that it denied a request from Good Samaritan Medical Center to grant leniency on a petition because the response from the hospital was a few days late. The division has no authority to grant retroactive waivers, DWC Director Tanner Holloman wrote in an order Tuesday.
