Workers' compensation carriers and employers shouldn't allow themselves to be stuck paying for COVID-19 and other treatments that may be better suited for group health, industry executives said Wednesday.
“Group health has historically subrogated against workers' comp," said Joe Berardo, CEO of Carisk Partners, a medical care management company.
"What our industry has never done — I don't think at all — is subrogate back against group health,” he added.
