The Washington state Office of the Insurance Commissioner is accepting comments on possible rule-making to implement a 2016 bill creating a second appeals process for small pharmacies to challenge drug prices set by pharmacy benefit managers, and requiring PBMs to register with the state.
The commissioner’s office on Aug. 23 released a preproposal statement of inquiry announcing plans to start a rule-making process to make “minor technical additions” to implement Senate Bill 5857, by now-retired Sen. Linda Evans Parlette, R-Wenatchee.
