The Association of Claims Professionals applauded the introduction of legislation in the New York State Assembly that it said would modernize insurance laws by repealing what it called outdated and redundant surety bond and character reference requirements for licensing.
ACP said the bills, if enacted, would reduce costs for consumers and streamline the claims adjusting process.
