WC Lawsuit May Be to Blame for Trucking Co.'s Financial Woes

An Arkansas-based trucking agency is planning on closing down after a series of financial problems tipped over the edge by a workers’ compensation court dispute on owed premium payments, according to the trucking news site Go By Truck News.  Fikes Truck Line confirmed that they had planned to close their doors, quashing rumors that the company would be selling its assets to Birmingham-based Blair Logistics.  The company is currently in a legal battle with their workers’ compensation insurance carrier, Zurich American Insurance, for unpaid premiums dating back to March 2...
