A Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau committee says the physical audit threshold for California employers should remain the same, despite available data suggesting it should be lowered by $1,000.
The WCIRB’s Classification and Rating Committee on Tuesday voted unanimously to keep the threshold at $10,500 after staff recommended leaving it unchanged for reasons including the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and the fact that the threshold is “intended to be changed relatively infrequently.”
