Hearing on 8.4% Rate Cut Set for Friday

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation is holding a hearing Friday on a recommended 8.4% rate level decrease. The National Council on Compensation Insurance on Aug. 24 submitted a filing requesting an average decrease of 8.4% in voluntary market rate levels, effective Jan. 1, 2023. OIR is holding a virtual hearing on the rate filing at 9 a.m. Friday. The agency said anyone wanting to present expert testimony at the hearing must prefile their testimony by Thursday.
