Medical Providers to Oppose Drug Monitoring Mandates

Medical providers in Maryland say they will oppose any legislation this session to impose mandatory use of the state's prescription drug monitoring program, citing concerns over patient-physician relationships, technology and a provision in current state law that prohibits anyone but a physician from accessing the database.
