Senate Approves Liability Protection but Removes COVID-19 Presumption for Workers

The Ohio Senate on Tuesday approved a plan to give businesses and health care providers temporary immunity from lawsuits during the COVID-19 crisis, but a benefits presumption for essential workers was removed from the bill. House Bill 606 stirred strong debate after House members added the workers' compensation presumption section in May.
