Kemper Corp. announced that Joseph P. Lacher Jr. is the company’s new president and chief executive officer as well as a member of the board of directors.
Robert J. Joyce is now non-executive chairman of the Kemper board of directors, the company announced last month. Donald G. Southwell, who previously announced his plans to retire, relinquished his positions as Kemper’s chairman, president and CEO as well as his position on the board of directors. He is expected to serve as a senior advisor to the company until his retirement on May 26.
