Cal OSHA Appels Handbook Available

Tuesday, May 29, 2001 | 0

The Occupational Safety & Health Appeals Board has issued a newly revised Appeal Information booklet and Appeal form to help employers who receive citations alleging health and safety violations of Title 8, California Code of Regulations, and the California Labor Code.

The 2001 Appeal Information edition helps answer in clear language questions that employers, employees, attorneys, and the public may have about how OSHA matters are resolved within the State administrative judicial process. Available free of charge, this booklet updates all changes in the law since the last edition issued in 1998, expands the summary of the appeal process, deletes unnecessary code sections, and updates the address directory of all Cal/OSHA offices throughout California.

The revised three-color Appeal form is clearer and, more significantly, is available in a fill-in and printable format on the Appeals Board's website at: www.dir.ca.gov/OSHAB/appealform.html . The Appeal Information booklet and Appeal form are available through its principal office, 2520 Venture Oaks Way, Sacramento, CA 95833, its Southern California office, 100 North Barranca Street, Suite 410, West Covina, 91791, in all DOSH offices in California, by calling the Appeals Board's Sacramento office, (916) 274-5751, or faxing a request to (916) 274-5786.
