House Passes Presumption Extension

The Minnesota state House of Representatives passed a bill that would extend until May 1, 2022, a presumption that COVID-19 is compensable for some workers. The presumption lawmakers enacted last year expires May 1. The House on Thursday voted 102-28 to pass HF 1203, by Rep. Dan Wolgamott, D-St. Cloud, which would preserve the presumption for another year. The presumption applies to firefighters, peace officers, paramedics, health care providers, nurses, child care providers and correctional workers.
