BWC Joins Fight Against Firefighter Cancer Risks

The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the State Fire Marshal’s Office have joined forces to educate firefighters about on-the-job cancer risks and safety resources available through their agencies. Both agencies will continue to provide grants to fire departments statewide so they can purchase safety gear and equipment to protect their firefighters against carcinogens and other harmful elements.
