Gov. John Bel Edwards has reappointed Barbara F. Young of Shreveport to the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corp. board of directors.
Young is a self-employed consultant and will continue to serve as an at-large member, a press release states.
The LWCC is a private, nonprofit mutual insurance company and the largest workers’ compensation carrier in the state.
Headquartered in Baton Rouge, LWCC was founded in 1992 and since then has lowered its overall rates by 58.8%, according to its website.
