A former police chief is facing fraud charges for allegedly working as a photographer and model while claiming she was unable to work because of an occupational injury, the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries announced.
Brenda Lynn Cavoretto, 47, was police chief of Coulee City in February 2012 while removing a 285-pound corpse that was hanging in a tree. She said she injured her neck and her back and that she had shooting pain down her arms, persistent pain in her elbows and numbness in both hands.
