A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit filed by shareholders of the professional employer organization TriNet in 2015.
The shareholders had sought class-action status on the suit, which alleged that TriNet's leaders failed to disclose knowledge about impending workers' compensation and medical claim costs.
The allegations stemmed from TriNet's first two earnings reports of 2015, in which corporate leaders disclosed that they had taken large hits from workers' compensation expenses.
TriNet cheered the dismissal in a statement released Tuesday.
