The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation would reimburse for most hospital inpatient services at 109.5% of the Medicare rate, according to a proposed rule amendment filed Friday with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review.
If approved by JCARR, the new rate under Rule 4123-6-37.1 would go into effect Feb. 1 and would replace the current 112.7% rate.
Reimbursement for outliers would be at 171.5% of the Medicare rate, compared to the current 175.4%, the proposed rule states.
