GAO Report: Air Ambulance Rates Doubled From 2010-14

A report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office confirms a trend that workers' compensation regulators have been pointing out for years: Air ambulance rates are rising significantly. The rates doubled, in fact, in just four years: The median price of an air ambulance transport was around $15,000 in 2010; by 2014, it was roughly $30,000.
