XL Capital More Quarterly Earnings Up 177%

XL Capital Ltd. on Wednesday reported net income of $377.1 in the second quarter of 2006, a 177% increase over the same period last year. Net income was $2.10 per ordinary share, compared with net income of 97 cents per ordinary share in the second quarter of 2005.
