Woodland Hills based Zenith National Insurance Company said that fourth quarter operating losses are down to 41 cents per share from 61 cents per share from last year.
Showing net revenue of $125,446,000 for fourth quarter 2000 versus $104,971,000 for fourth quarter 1999, the figures include catastrophe losses of $1.4 million, or 8 cents a share in 2000, and $5.2 million, or 30 cents a share for 1999. Excluding the catastrophe loss items, the drop in income was $7.2 million, or 41 cents a share for 2000, and $10.4 million, or 61 cents a share for 1999.
