California defense attorney Michael Sullivan's next chapter of his "Sullivan on Comp" legal book series will be available for preview starting in June. The author has given WorkCompCentral permission to distribute preview copies of "Chapter 6: Statutes of Limitations."
The subtitle is "So, You Think There's a Statute of Limitations Defense?" and is the second chapter released by the author.
"Sullivan on Comp: Michael Sullivan on California Workers' Compensation Law" is a comprehensive treatise slated for publication in January 2011.
Chapter 6: Statutes of Limitations provides an easy-to-understand analysis of this complex topic so the practitioner can readily determine whether or not a statute of limitations applies to any given fact pattern. It breaks the statutes into their logical topic areas and then walks the reader through each variable in a simple, straightforward manner.
Plus, there is an included worksheet that will guide the user through making a decision on one of the most difficult statute of limitations topics -- original jurisdiction.
"Sullivan on Comp" will be a resource for the claims professional on every aspect of California workers' compensation law. Like this excerpted chapter, the book will be easy to read and understand. And, in combination with its footnotes, the text will serve as a powerful resource for in-depth legal analysis.
Beginning in 2011, the print edition will be released each January and be available online with continual updates at
