(a) Upon receipt of the QME fees and reviewby the Council to ensure current compliance with section 139.2 of the LaborCode and any other applicable regulations promulgated by the Council concerningQME eligibility, the Council shall within 45 days send to the physician a certificateof approved status as Qualified Medical Evaluator. The certificate of QME statusshall be displayed in a conspicuous manner at the QME's office location at alltimes during the period the QME is approved by the Council to conduct evaluationsunder Council appointment.

(b) It shall be unlawful for any physicianwho has been terminated or suspended from the QME list or who has failed topay the required QME fee pursuant to Sections 17 and 18 to display a certificateof approved status as a Qualified Medical Evaluated.
