§ 608.280 Criteria for issuance of certificate.
| The division will issue a certificate only if necessary to prevent the curtailment of opportunities for employment of the handicapped worker affected. To determine whether a certificate will be issued, the division will consider the following criteria:
1. The nature and extent of the disabilities of the worker; 2. The prevailing wages of experienced nondisabled workers who are employed in the locality and engaged in work comparable to that to be performed at the special minimum wage; 3. The comparative productivity of the handicapped worker and experienced nondisabled workers employed in the locality in comparable work; and 4. The wage rate to be paid to the handicapped worker for work comparable to that performed by experienced nondisabled workers. |
