CA - Car Washes, Manufacturers Shut Down Over Safety Violations

California regulators ordered four car washes in the Los Angeles area and three manufacturers in Orange County to shut down because of health, safety and workers’ compensation violations, the Department of Industrial Relations said Thursday.
The Labor Enforcement Task Force discovered that industrial water extractors used to dry towels did not fave functioning interlock devices to stop the machines when the door is unlocked or open.
