The federal work safety agency has fined a Pennsylvania contractor $87,794 for using unsafe scaffolds at a Philadelphia work site.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced this week that it issued citations for four repeat and two serious safety violations to Real Contractors LLC on Dec. 9.
The citations sprang from a June 10 inspection, during which inspectors observed workers standing on scaffolds that were not wide enough to comply with federal safety standards.
