Firefighter's Widow Provided Insufficient Evidence to Prove Carcinogen Exposure

A Pennsylvania court found that a firefighter's widow did not present sufficient evidence that her husband had been exposed to a Group 1 carcinogen while fighting fires. Pennsylvania workers' compensation law includes a presumption that veteran firefighters' cancer diagnoses are work-related, but only if claimants prove they have been exposed to carcinogens.
