A Montana state lawmaker proposed a bill that could bar from receiving workers' compensation benefits certain employees who lie about medical conditions on employment applications.
The National Council on Compensation Insurance reported that the Kalispell Regional Hospital proposed the measure. The bill missed its opportunity for pre-introduction this week, but the lawmaker who requested it, Sen. Mark Blasdel, R-Somers, can introduce it during the next session, Montana's executive director for legislative services, Susan Fox, told WorkCompCentral.
