Board Clarifies Independent Contractor Certificate Policy

The Workers' Compensation Board of Indiana has reported that effective immediately, any independent contractor, regardless of trade, may be granted a clearance certificate by the board. Board Chairwoman Mary Hamilton told WorkCompCentral Thursday that the notice was to clarify the agency's policy on issuing the certificates.
