An Illinois chiropractor has pleaded guilty after federal prosecutors filed charges that she billed insurers purportedly provided by medical doctors to increase charges.
Bridget Brasfield of Edwarsville entered a plea agreement with the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois on Tuesday, federal court records show, admitting that she is guilty of one count of health care fraud and one count of money laundering. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 30 at the U.S. District Court in Benton.
