Injury claims and benefits payments in Nebraska have dropped significantly in almost every category in the last 10 years, according to a report released this week by the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Court.
The Statistical Report for 2008-2017 shows that the number of injuries dropped, from 47,202 in 2008, to 35,720 in 2017. Total benefits payments declined, from $313 million to $102 million, in that time frame, the report shows. The data is reported annually to the court by employers and insurers.
