New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez signed into law a bill that will transfer $1.25 million from the Workers’ Compensation Administration Fund into the state’s general fund.
Martinez on Jan. 31 signed Senate Bill 113, by Sen. John A. Smith, D-Deming, one of three measures intended to close an estimated $69 million deficit for the current fiscal year.
