The 3rd District Court of Appeal will not revisit its decision overturning an award of benefits to a sheriff’s deputy for a skin condition that was allegedly caused by his on-the-job sun exposure.
It also will not order publication of its July 11 decision in County of Sacramento v. WCAB (McCartney), No. C082282.
Jonathon McCartney had worked as a deputy sheriff for the County of Sacramento. After doctors diagnosed him with actinic keratosis, he filed a claim for workers’ compensation benefits.
