Supreme Court Suspends Attorney for Embezzlement From Firm

The Tennessee Supreme Court last week suspended a Knoxville workers’ compensation attorney from the practice of law for having stolen funds from his former firm. Charles Edward Daniel had started out as a solo practitioner, handling mostly workers' compensation and personal injury cases, after he earned his law license in 1991. He came into his career as an attorney after a 15-year stint in law enforcement positions, including a position with the Internal Revenue Service criminal division.
