The California Workers’ Compensation Institute said there was little change in the number of independent medical review determination letters and decisions issued in the first three months of 2018 compared to the first quarter of 2017.
CWCI also said the percentage of IMR determinations upholding a utilization review decision to deny a treatment request was virtually unchanged over the same period.
