Amendments Adopted for Medical Reimbursements, Payment Rules

The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation has adopted amendments to three rules that become effective Feb. 25, and deal with inpatient hospital and medical fee schedules and rules for medical payment. Chapter 0800-02-19, Inpatient Hospital Fee Schedule, will adopt the most recent Medicare procedures and guidelines for reimbursing inpatient hospital fees. The fees for Peer Group 1 surgical admission will be $2,235 per day for the first seven days, $1,935 for each day after, $1,840 for medical admission daily for the seven days, and $1,590 for each day after.
