Woman Admits Stealing Relative's Benefits Check

A Columbus woman has pleaded guilty to stealing a relative’s workers’ compensation check. Kelly Clark, 38, must pay $862 in restitution by Sept. 13 or face 60 days in jail, the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation said. Clark was living with a relative who was expecting a benefits check and called investigators to report he suspected it had been stolen and cashed. The BWC did not say how Clark was related to the theft victim.
