House Panel Approves Senate Comp Reform Bill

The Mississippi House Insurance Committee on Thursday approved the Senate version of a workers' compensation reform bill that would shift the presumption in favor of employers in many workers' compensation cases, limit claimants' attorneys' fees and increase some benefits.The vote in the House panel on Senate Bill 2576 sets the stage for a second vote in the full House, which defeated its version of the reform bill last week.
