OSHA Deeply Concerned About Contractor's Trench Safety

A Nebraska contractor is facing proposed penalties of $46,930 for allegedly failing to protect workers from trench hazards. Gretna-based Premier Underground LLC was issued citations for one willful and six serious violations on Tuesday by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. According to OSHA, the agency’s inspectors saw employees installing water and sewer lines in two unprotected trenches on the same job site in Elkhorn.
