Division Proposes Rules to Ease Reporting Requirements

Rule amendments proposed by the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation would simplify reporting requirements, including for employers who terminate insurance coverage and enter into coverage agreements with contractors or subcontractors.  Other changes delete a requirement that the labor commissioner make a finding at least annually about whether a claimant’s disability is the reason for his unemployment, and delete a registry of vocational rehabilitation providers.  The division said in a notice filed in Friday’s Texas Register that it is proposing the rule chan...
