Missouri employers would be able to comply with the state’s notice requirements by electronic means, and self-insured groups that serve local governments would be able to use either the average rate classification or filed rate method of setting members' rates, under a bill that passed the House of Representatives on Wednesday.
The House voted 143-0 to pass Senate Bill 981 by Paul Wieland, R-Imperial, moving the measure to the governor’s desk. The state Senate approved the bill 31-0 on March 29.
