North Carolina continues to pay less in medical costs per total benefits than the rest of the country, an NCCI report says.
While the medical share of total benefit costs for the average state was 58%, it was 48% in North Carolina, the National Council on Compensation Insurance concluded.
The overall medical average cost per case was $31,000 in North Carolina, compared to $29,000 nationally, however.
