Aluminum Warehouse Fined $89,000 After 2 Amputations

Two amputations and a thumb injury at a Pennsauken aluminum warehouse gave federal safety inspectors the fuel to fine its owners roughly $89,000. The federal workplace safety agency cited Aluminum Shapes LLC for not using machine guards and reporting the amputations late. It has cited the company for both of those issues before. During an inspection last year, Occupational Safety and Health Administration agents found 44 safety violations.
