The governor and lawmakers directed the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board to establish a drug formulary by Jan. 1, but that will be extremely difficult to accomplish in eight months unless an existing model is used, some experts say.
The formulary is part of several workers’ compensation reforms that passed the Legislature over the weekend as part of the state's $153.1 billion annual budget. Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the package into law on Monday.
