OSHA Announces Settlement with New England Wood Pellet

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced it has reached a settlement with New England Wood Pellet following explosions and fires at its manufacturing plant in Jaffrey, N.H., last year.OSHA said in a news release on Wednesday that the company has agreed to implement a series of safety measures and will pay a fine of $100,000.OSHA cited the company in April for violations of workplace safety standards following a series of explosions and fires in Jaffrey on Oct. 20, 2011.
