Doctor Accused of Inappropriate Prescribing Surrenders Authorization to Treat Comp Patients

A Highland physician has voluntarily given up his authorization to treat injured workers after consenting to several charges of negligence levied by the state medical board. Dr. Bryon Edward Labrenz, whose last-known practice address was 240 S. Riverside Road in Highland, is prohibited from treating injured workers. Reports he submitted for services rendered before July 14 are valid, but not afterwards, the state Workers’ Compensation Board said.
